Freshmen and Sophomores

Don't wait to plan for college. It'll come sooner than you think. Take some steps now and make sure you're ready for college.

• Tell your counselor you want to attend a four-year college or university.
• Plan your course schedule. Take the most difficult classes you can handle.
• Take college prep courses.
• Participate in extracurricular activities.
• Volunteer to serve your community.
• Read as much as you can. Your vocabulary will play a big part in getting into the universities you want.
• Start a log of your activities and honors.
• Go to a college fair.
