I’d be my high school theatre teacher. I would love for one day to have the well–earned respect she gets from those around her and to know the things she knows.
Wow! The summer went by in what seems like no time and too much time, all at once. I am all moved in to my new room and ready for the two weeks of “preschool” activities. With greek life, and all sorts of training the next two weeks will be really busy, and I hope full of new and exciting situations. I am so excited to get to know some new people through my new activities.
Already I have heard the “How was your summer” questions, and unfortunately, I cant say much. Mostly I worked, I am a waitress at this cute home town cooking style restaurant in Omaha. It is named the Millard Roadhouse and I have worked there so long, it seems like part of going home. Besides work, I spent a lot of time with my family, I even managed to sneak in a vacation to visit family outside of Chicago ( we drove :/). I also made some day trips to Aurora to visit one of my good friends.
My favorite part of the summer was participating in Cornhusker Girls State through the American Legion Auxiliary as a Junior Counselor. I met some really great girls and had such a fun time. I also was able to work with one of my Wesleyan professors (Judy Hart) on an original play reading for the Great Plains Theatre Festival which was an amazing experience!
After a pretty chill summer, I am ready to be back at Wesleyan. I am ready for friends, classes and something new!

I cannot believe we have only been back for over a month (almost two for me), the year has been so busy already. Now that I have the Peer Assistant job down pat, I am working on all of the other things.
Alpha Gamma Delta has a huge new pledge class (13 girls) and as New Member Co–Coordinator, Tuesdays have been an adventure. My classes are challenging, but good. It always seems like they intertwine into one giant class. Also, homecoming is coming up! It’s going to be an exciting month as Halloween, cold weather, and my semester in FRANCE approach!
